Major Achievements
Achievements are very important for any project because they reflect the cycle of development. Through the implementation of several projects, we have achieved many successes. However, only a few achievements are included here.
-We have published a book on the cultural and traditional documents of the Patro community people.
-We have also published a language and glossary book (word book) of the Patro language. These publications are very important for the Patro community. Community member now use these book as important reference materials. However, these resources are not sufficient. Further research and documentation should be conducted in the coming years to collect additional information and preserve the community’s heritage, culture and language for future generations.
– We have provided midwifery training and medical kits to three indigenous women. They are now successfully helping pregnant mothers in remote villages.
– More than 4846 indigenous children (Patro, Munda, tea garden communities) have received free educational support from PASKOP and funded by MISEREOR.
– 1177 indigenous women, men, and children have received professional medical advice and free medicine through field-level medical camps
– Currently, PASKOP has seven learning centers in its working areas where children are studying.
– More than 214 primary and high school students have taken part in hygiene awareness activities.
– More than 295 Indigenous men and women have received training on income generating activities.
